At Esprit we wear the Made in Britain badge with pride, for a few reasons. We’ve always loved the fact that we manufacture on site. We build our own lamps, bridges and heaters and this means that we maintain a really high quality, and also, if something does go wrong (rarely!) we have the expertise to fix this on site. Two of our staff who work in our manufacturing department have been with us since the late 1990s and so they really know what they’re doing when it comes to building Esprit products.

Building on site also means that we can be really agile when it comes to stock control. Need more lamps? We don’t have a long lead time, we just build more there and then.

It’s one of our Esprit principles that we always try to source British products first, and we also love buying from other small and medium sized companies who we can build up long term relationships with.  Therefore over the years we’ve also sourced other parts of the kit from primarily British suppliers, including our injectors, resin, gel, all our moulded and machined metal components and many more. Of course, there are some parts that come from overseas, but we try to limit this as much as possible to the small, cheap parts that help to keep the costs of the kit down. Because of this, we really weren’t overly impacted by the supply chain issues that affected many businesses during and following Covid. Buying British and having our products Made in Britain certified certainly works well for us.
