Since Esprit was established in 1981 we have always been a keen supporter of British manufacturing, and we’ve now been a member of Made in Britain for over four years. Our kits and components have been manufactured in Britain for over 40 years, and we also try to source most of the components that go into our products from British suppliers. 90% of our components are sourced from the UK and a sizeable percentage from within 10km of our factory in Staffordshire.
Manufacturing and purchasing in Britain means that we have control over the excellent quality of our goods. We can meet with our suppliers and build long lasting relationships. This means that when we need things in a hurry, we can pick up the phone to someone we know. It also means we can be agile when responding to demand.
Being part of Made in Britain means that our customers know they can trust that these are high quality British made goods. Membership of the MIB group also means being introduced to other British companies and suppliers. The MIB group have also provided a wealth of information about trade opportunities and as we’re currently expanding into Europe, this expertise has been a fantastic resource. Our overseas customers love the MIB branding too as British manufacturing is held in high regard worldwide.
